Shoozie Talk to the desk

Corridors · ZAR

Convert ZAR to USDC and USDT, and back.

A local rail running both ways in South Africa. Convert rand into stablecoins, or convert stablecoins into rand delivered onshore.

What you can do on this corridor

ZAR into stablecoin

Your customers pay into your own accounts in South Africa. You transfer rand to us on the local rail, and you receive USDC or USDT.

Stablecoin into ZAR

Send us USDC or USDT and we deliver rand into your account onshore, ready for you to pay suppliers, contractors, or staff.

Who we contract with

Shoozie transacts with the entity that completes onboarding. We do not collect payments on behalf of your customers and we are not a payment processor. Funds reach us from an account belonging to the onboarded business, which is what keeps the compliance chain clean on both sides.

How pricing works

Pricing on this corridor is quoted per transaction and locked at execution. The quote reflects local market conditions at the time you ask, and the desk confirms it with you before anything moves. There is no order book, so the rate you agree is the rate you get.

The local leg and the settlement leg are quoted separately, so you can see what each step costs rather than reading one blended number.

Settlement

Conversion clears against the South African domestic system rather than a correspondent chain, which is what keeps the window short. Typical completion on this corridor is T+0 to T+1, confirmed with your quote.

Eligibility and compliance

This corridor is open to eligible business and institutional clients. Every counterparty completes KYB and sanctions screening before the first transaction, and flows are monitored on an ongoing basis. Shoozie does not onboard anonymous counterparties.

Shoozie LLC is registered with FinCEN as a Money Services Business. Shoozie is not a bank, does not provide custody, and does not hold client funds.

Questions

How long does ZAR settlement take?

Settlement on this corridor typically completes T+0 to T+1. The desk confirms the window with your quote before anything moves.

Does this corridor run in both directions?

Yes. You can convert rand into USDC or USDT, and convert USDC or USDT back into rand.

Can Shoozie collect payments from my customers?

No. Your customers pay into your own accounts. You then transfer to us on the local rail and we handle the conversion. We contract with the entity that completes onboarding, not with your customers.

Do you hold my funds?

No. Shoozie does not provide custody and does not hold client funds. We execute directly with you as principal.

Who can use the South Africa corridor?

Eligible business and institutional clients only. Every counterparty completes KYB and sanctions screening before the first transaction.

Need ZAR moving this week?

Tell the desk your direction and size. You will get a rate and a settlement window before you commit to anything.
